Terms & Conditions

The Terms and Conditions document sets out the terms and conditions between UCA and you when you register for any event or conference organized by UCA, including Cutting Edge. By registering for an event or conference organized by UCA you are agreeing to comply with these terms and conditions. You should read this document carefully.

Prior to your registration, you must acknowledge and accept the UCA Registration Terms & Conditions. Should you not wish to accept the Terms & Conditions you should not register.

Submission of a registration is regarded as affirmation of your acceptance of the Event Terms & Conditions.


Registration Terms & Conditions

 

Member

Members must have paid 2023 dues to receive member pricing. Non-member full conference registrations include a complimentary pro-rated UCA membership that will remain active until December 31, 2024. Discounted non-member registrations that include, but are not limited to, Discounted Author Rates and Complimentary Sponsor Registrations do not include complimentary memberships.

 

Student

Student registrations for the Cutting Edge 2023 must meet eligibility requirements. UCA requires that an individual must be attending a college/university/higher education institute on a full-time basis to qualify for student registration rates. Student registrations may be required to provide evidence of full-time status. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credit hours are considered full-time. Acceptable confirmation includes: transcript, most recent report card, or official school registration documents. Student registrations without this documentation will not be eligible for the reduced student rate.

 

Registration Policy

All attendees, sponsors and authors at Cutting Edge 2023 are required to register. Nonmember authors/chairs may register at the member rate using the discount code provided. The appropriate badge is required for admittance to the technical sessions and the meal/sponsor tabletop displays and will be checked at the entrance of all activities.

 

CANCELLATION/SUBSTITUTION POLICY

 

If circumstances require you to cancel your Cutting Edge registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to Cutting Edge Registration, c/o SME, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112 or to meetings@smenet.org. Cancellations postmarked on or before October 12, 2023 will receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations postmarked after October 12, 2023. Substitutions will be accepted in writing at no charge until October 13, 2022. After October 12, 2023, a $25 processing fee will be charged for substitutions. NO REFUNDS for Registration or Tours will be issued after the October 12, 2023 deadline.

Registrants are responsible for cancellation of their hotel accommodations.

 

International Delegates Letter of Invitation

UCA will send a letter of invitation upon request. Invitations are intended to help international delegates raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment from the conference or the organizers to provide any financial support. Request for letters of invitation must include attendee name, job title, company name, mailing address (PO boxes are not acceptable), city, state/province, country, zip/postal code, phone and fax number, and beginning and end dates of travel. Also, provide the address, phone and fax number of your embassy. All items must be submitted to complete a letter of invitation.
